The HOW Art Museum (Shanghai) is a new cultural institution with functions of collecting, displaying, researching and educating contemporary art. Located in Pudong, Shanghai, it has a total of three floors of exhibition and event spaces, with a total area of approximately 7,000 square meters. It was officially opened to the public in September 2017. The HOW Art Museum pioneered the operation mode of ‘night art museum’. The regular opening hours are from 12:00 noon to 8:30 pm on Tuesdays to Fridays, and from 10:00 am to 8:30 pm on weekends and holidays. This measure enables more audiences to visit the art museum after work. The HOW Art Museum also holds international exchange projects and outdoor activities such as the ‘International Curator Residency Program’, ‘Outdoor Film Festival’ and ‘Sculpture Park’, aiming to establish a new art complex and a new landmark in Pudong.
