Hushan Hiking Trail

Hushan, located in Xinyi District, Taipei City, is collectively known as the Four Beast Mountains along with nearby Xiangshan, Baoshan, and Shishan. It gets its name because its shape resembles a crouching tiger ready to pounce. Hushan is a great place for Taipei citizens to relax on holidays. Taipei 101 can often be seen at turns. There are multiple platforms on the hiking trail where one can enjoy Taipei 101 and overlook the Taipei Basin, namely the 120-meter-high pavilion, Fuxing Garden, and Shifang Zen Temple. It is also a better place to watch the New Year’s Eve fireworks of Taipei 101. At the same time, it is also a popular place for photography enthusiasts to capture the style of Taipei 101. In addition to the wide scenery, the ecology here is also very rich. Due to the flow of Hushan Stream, a valley-type ecological environment is cultivated. In addition to various ferns, it is also a better place to breed fireflies, frogs, dragonflies and other rich ecologies, combining the characteristics of suburban hiking and ecological observation. Open all year round and all day.
