Jinting Guan

Jinting Guan was originally the former residence of the great calligrapher Wang Xizhi from the Eastern Jin Dynasty. Wang Heng, his great-grandson, donated the residence to establish a Taoist temple for cultivation, initially named Jinzhen Hall, which was later renamed Jinzhen Palace; in the seventeenth year of the Yongchu era of the Song Dynasty (440), Chu Boyu petitioned to change its name to Jinting Guan. Inside the temple, there used to be a statue of Wang Xizhi, along with the Right Army Calligraphy Building, the Playing Goose Pavilion, and the Right Army Ancestral Temple. The temple is open all year round from 8:30 to 16:30.
