Lavender Forest is a fragrant theme manor established by two visionary women, Zhan Hui Jun and Lin Ting Fei. It has become a representative of Taiwan’s happiness tourism industry and has been listed as one of Taiwan’s top 100 tourist attractions for several years. The flagship store of Lavender Forest is located in Xinshe, Taichung, and there are now additional branches such as the Jienshi Store in Hsinchu and the Mingde Store in Miaoli. The Xinshe store is nestled in the mountains on the outskirts of Taichung City. Following the winding mountain road, one feels as if they have arrived at a secluded paradise. The park features lush green vegetation, a carousel set against the backdrop of lavender fields, tree-lined walking paths, a garden restaurant offering creative and delicious dishes, and a small wooden cabin selling natural herbal products. Here, visitors can learn about various herbs, enjoy picnics with friends, sip afternoon tea in the café, and experience making soap in a DIY cabin, stealing a leisurely half-day away from the hustle and bustle of life. The park is open all year round from Monday to Friday, 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM; and on Saturdays and Sundays, 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM. Please check the actual opening status for the day. Essential tips for visitors: 1. Please refrain from smoking and bringing outside food into the beautiful Lavender Forest park. 2. To avoid traffic congestion, it is recommended to arrive early. If traveling by train, please book a shuttle bus in advance. 3. Since walking is required within the park, it is advised to wear flat shoes.
