The construction date of the original temple cannot be verified. There are two stone tablets on the west side of the main hall of the original temple, embedded in the wall. One is the ‘Stele Inscription of the Temple of Lord Liang Shengjun’ written by Wei Chengzhong, the magistrate of Yin County in the 33rd year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty: ‘The Temple of King Yizhong is also called the Temple of Lord Liang Shengjun. It is located to the west of Jiedai Temple, sixteen li west of the county, and it enshrines Liang Shanbo, the magistrate of Mozhou in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. During the reign of Emperor An of the Jin Dynasty, Liu Yu petitioned to confer the title of King Yizhong and ordered the relevant departments to build a temple.’ If this record is correct, then the temple was built in the Eastern Jin Dynasty and has a history of 1,600 years. At least by the time of Li Maocheng’s ‘Inscription of the Temple of King Yizhong’, the temple undoubtedly existed. That is, the temple was built in the Daguan period of the Song Dynasty. In any case, this is always a fact, and it has been more than 800 years until now. The Liang Shanbo Temple has been repaired many times and was destroyed during the ten-year catastrophe. It was successively used as a grain depot and a factory. The current Liang-Zhu Temple was rebuilt on the original site after 1993 and is located in the Liang-Zhu Cultural Park. Opening hours: From January 1st to December 31st, open from 08:00 to 16:00.
