Lihu Park is located by Lihu Lake in Wuxi. Formerly known as European City, the park is free of charge. There are many European-style buildings in the park, attracting many couples who come to take wedding photos. There are also wedding photography studios in the park. In addition, there is a Wuxi Underwater World in the park. The main road of the park is in the shape of ‘L’. Start touring from the right end of the horizontal part of ‘L’. Crossing the bridge over the water, one can see the Temple of Zeus, a Greek temple supported by stone pillars. At the turning point of ‘L’, there is a musical statue fountain. In the middle of the pool is a white statue holding a trident. At the upper end of the vertical part of ‘L’ is the original place for the water curtain laser show. Many travel guides and scenic spots say that there are musical fountains and water curtain laser shows in the park on weekends evenings. Now there are basically none. Only occasionally the fountain is turned on at 15:00 on Sunday afternoons, and it is not available every week. There are also two side roads on the left and right sides of the vertical part of the ‘L’-shaped main road. On the one in the northwest direction, walking to the end, one can see the Norwegian country church. It is a small wooden church with a thin cross standing on the roof. On the one in the northeast direction, walking to the end, one can see European Street, lined with European-style buildings with red or green tiles and pointed roofs. One can only take pictures outside. Some interiors have been transformed into hotels. Deeper inside European Street is the Disneyland Bridge. One can see the colorful statues of Snow White and the seven dwarfs standing on the bridge railing. The Disneyland Bridge is very close to the Underwater World in the park. Standing on the bridge, one can see the exterior of the Underwater World like a building in a fairy tale. Wuxi Underwater World, also known as Lihu Park Underwater World, is located in the northeast corner of the entire park. The interior is very small. One can visit all areas inside by casually strolling around. It is suitable for bringing younger children for educational and entertaining purposes. Here, one can see clumsy sea turtles, precious Chinese sturgeon, lemon sharks with lemon-colored bellies, etc. First, walk through the tropical rainforest area to see various strangely shaped tropical fish. In the specimen museum in the fish area, one can see the skeleton of a sperm whale. Then walk through the approximately 20-meter-long undersea tunnel to see large marine fish swimming overhead and observe small fish around the reef in the cylindrical tank. To the west of Lihu Park is Yuantouzhu (with a straight-line distance of 2 kilometers). To the east are Liyuan (about 1.2 kilometers away) and Lihu Park (about 2 kilometers away). To the south is Zhongshi Wuxi Film and Television Base (about 5 kilometers away). According to one’s own preferences, one can arrange a tour route.
