Lingyan Mountain Temple

Lingyan Mountain Temple in Nantou County, Taiwan is a leading Buddhist place in Taiwan. It is presided over by the eminent monk Master Miaolian. Lingyan Mountain Temple stands among green mountains and trees. In front is a tall mountain gate. Going up from Guanyin Pavilion, one can see the majestic Mahavira Hall. The Buddha Shakyamuni enshrined inside is as high as 50 Taiwanese feet. There are more than ten venerable ones standing side by side. The Dharma appearance is solemn, inspiring respect. The entire hall has glazed red tiles and upturned eaves with precious bells. Listening to the evening drum and morning bell here, with Buddhist sounds lingering, one’s state of mind can also calm down. Open all year round from 6:00 to 21:00.
