The artistic features of the Longhua Martyrs’ Cemetery are the integration of the theme, the main axis, and the three-dimensional architecture, as well as the alternation of the past, present, and future. A series of orderly buildings such as red rock, entrance square, park name pavilion, memorial bridge, memorial square, memorial hall, and the tomb of the unknown martyr are situated along the north-south central axis of the cemetery. The red rock at the entrance, with its specific ideological connotation, highlights the humanistic theme of the cemetery. The memorial square is the central area of the cemetery. The memorial hall, with its four-layer plain granite steps and a pyramid-shaped blue glass curtain wall, combines harmoniously to convey a solemn yet bright and open atmosphere. Open all year round from 06:30 to 17:30, with specific business status subject to the day’s opening conditions.
