Here, you can visit Mr. Lu Xun’s manuscripts, as well as precious items such as his clothes, daily necessities, letters, photos and books during his lifetime, allowing people to understand Mr. Lu Xun from various details. The Shanghai Lu Xun Memorial Hall opened in 1951 and is the first figure memorial hall after the founding of New China. Coming here, you can see the name of the museum on the gable. In front of the atrium in the museum, there is an inner garden ‘Baicao Garden’. The garden is lush with branches and leaves, fleece-flower roots cover the corners. There is a well in the garden, and there is also a black-awning boat. The stone well railing and black-awning boat are all from Mr. Lu Xun’s hometown, Shaoxing. On the first floor of the memorial hall, there is the ‘Zhaohua Library’, a special library for cultural celebrities, and the special exhibition hall ‘Benliu Art Garden’. Moreover, there are often various forms of special cultural exhibitions. The second floor is the exhibition hall for Lu Xun’s life, that is, the main exhibition area. The cultural relics in the collection are mainly collected over the years and donated by Mr. Lu Xun’s wife Xu Guangping and his friends during his lifetime. You can see Mr. Lu Xun’s manuscripts, clothes, daily necessities, and many precious photos. You can learn about Mr. Lu Xun’s life story through detailed pictures and texts. The plaster mask of Mr. Lu Xun treasured in the museum is worth seeing. On the day of Mr. Lu Xun’s death, it was made by Japanese friends from Mr. Lu Xun’s remains. The beard and eyebrow whiskers adhered to it are the only original things left on Mr. Lu Xun. In addition, you can also see the scene of Neishan Bookstore and various editions of Mr. Lu Xun’s works. Moreover, Lu Xun’s tomb is in Lu Xun Park next to it. You can go and pay your respects. The memorial hall is next to Tian’ai Road and Shanyin Road.
