Sea-hunting refers to the practice of coastal inhabitants taking advantage of the ebb and flow of tides to collect shellfish such as clams on the mangrove sponge mudflats during low tide. It is best to choose times of high spring tides for sea-hunting, as the receding seawater leaves these shellfish stranded on the beaches or mudflats.
At the Mangrove Forest Joyful Sea-Hunting scenic area, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the mangrove wonders, get up close and personal with the mangroves, and fully experience the novel joys of digging for sand crabs, bamboo tube snails, and sandworms.
The area is open all year round from 07:00 to 19:00, with operating hours from 07:00 to 18:00.
