The Milan Memorial Cemetery is an extensive cemetery designed by architect Caro, renowned for its artistic tombs and numerous exquisite sculptures. Opened to the public in 1866, the cemetery’s architectural carvings showcase the work of several contemporary and classical Italian sculptors. The main entrance of the cemetery is a Hall of Fame, a neo-medieval marble building where many Italian celebrities rest in peace, such as the famous Italian composer Verdi. If you wish to visit, please be mindful of the opening hours. The cemetery is open Tuesday through Sunday from 8:00 to 17:30.
