The Museum of the Twentieth Century is a museum of modern and contemporary art located in the Palazzo dell’Arengario, near the Cathedral Square in the city center. The building is magnificent and mainly displays artworks since the 20th century. The museum opened in December 2010 and has a relatively large collection of 20th-century art in Italy, mainly collecting works of Italian artists. The museum has a 4,500-square-meter exhibition hall. Among them, the fascinating ones are the Futurism, Spatialism exhibition area and the Arte Povera exhibition area. Among the many masterpieces, there are works by international masters such as Picasso, Braque, Kandinsky, and Mondrian. There is a restaurant and a bar on the top floor of the museum, where you can overlook the scenery of Cathedral Square. In addition, the museum also has a bookstore. Opening hours: Open from Tuesday to Wednesday and Friday to Sunday from 10:00 to 19:30 all year round; open from 10:00 to 22:30 on Thursdays all year round.
