New Qichun Garden is a gentle and elegant park within Hengdian’s New Yuanmingyuan, a collection of exquisite water features. It is modeled after the Qichun Garden of Beijing’s Yuanmingyuan during its heyday, capturing its essence while incorporating innovation. The garden boasts a circular water system with lakes and scenic spots within, surrounded by picturesque hills and mountains, and adorned with various flowers and plants. Natural landscapes, fragrant flora, and classic architecture together form a royal garden themed around autumn and characterized by water features.
Within the garden, there are not only magnificent imperial concubines’ chambers and solemn royal temples but also distinctive pavilions, beautiful halls, and corridors, exquisite and unique small cloud forests, interesting artificial mountains and rocks, winding paths with fish and lotus play, and the extra-large Hengdian New Yuanmingyuan Cultural Center, also known as the Imperial Garden Collection Hall, which is a large-scale ancient cultural art exhibition hall. The hall displays tens of thousands of various treasures collected by domestic collectors over many years with great effort and investment, showcasing a brilliant array of ancient and modern artifacts that visitors should not miss.
