The Gold Museum focuses on the historical mining and gold of Jinguashi, integrating the settlement appearance, mining history, local culture, and ecological landscape of the Jinguashi area into an overall planning, thus developing a new look for the area and bringing new vitality. It combines community power to fully preserve the precious natural, mining heritage, landscape characteristics, historical memories, and cultural assets of the Jinguashi area, and endows them with new life. The New Taipei City Gold Museum Visitor Service Center provides visitor information and museum guide-related services and consultations. The Gold Pavilion is divided into two major exhibition areas on the first and second floors. The first floor exhibition theme is ‘The Mountain City under the Golden Light’, showcasing the development of the humanistic history of the mining industry over a century. The second floor, in addition to displaying the representative collection of gold ingots, also plans the ‘Treasures of the Earth’ exhibition theme, totaling about 140 types of rich mineral stones. The Four-Building Complex – well-preserved and complete Japanese-style dormitories, with internal furnishings and living objects that evoke memories of the past, and the red brick black tile exterior forms the characteristics of the mountain city of the Jinguashi area. The Gold Refining Building is a two-story brick building, with a small special exhibition room on the right side of the first floor, which regularly launches theme special exhibitions. The left side of the first floor is the gold refining theater space. The second floor is also a permanent exhibition room, providing the joy of ‘river gold panning’ through multimedia interactive experience.
