Palazzo Reale, Milan

The Palazzo Reale is located on the right side of the facade of the Milan Cathedral. It is directly opposite the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. Initially designed as a structure with two courtyards, part of it was later demolished for the construction of the Milan Cathedral. The facade of the building is located in a recessed part of the Piazza del Duomo. The neoclassical style of the Palazzo Reale in Milan was designed by Giuseppe Piermarini. In addition to admiring the exquisite decorations inside the palace, every year 1,500 art masterpieces are displayed in the 7,000-square-meter palace. The exhibition hall displays masterpieces by Botero, Kandinsky, Boccioni, Balla, Monet, and the bequest of the Milan bohemian school. Nowadays, the palace has become an ideal place for holding modern and contemporary art exhibitions and fashion events. Opening hours: Open from Tuesday to Wednesday and Friday to Sunday from 10:00 to 19:30 all year round; Open from 10:00 to 22:30 on Thursdays all year round.
