The Ricci Oddi Modern Art Museum houses a considerable collection of Italian art and sculptures dating back to the 18th century. However, the museum gained worldwide notoriety in 1997 when a thief used a fishing line to steal a painting valued at $4 million, making it one of the world’s most expensive stolen artworks. The museum is open year-round on Tuesdays to Thursdays from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM, and on Fridays to Sundays from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM and from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The museum offers various services including free Wi-Fi and accessible facilities such as hearing aids, wheelchair accessible parking, accessible entrances, and accessible restrooms.
