Located adjacent to the International Automobile City and 30 kilometers away from the city center, the Shanghai International Circuit covers an area of approximately 5.3 square kilometers and is the official venue for the Chinese leg of the Formula 1 Grand Prix. The grandstand is designed to accommodate around 200,000 spectators, including 50,000 permanent seats in the main and auxiliary stands, with the remainder being temporary hillside stands. The design of the circuit and main buildings is undertaken by the German company Tilke, a professional F1 circuit design firm appointed by the International Automobile Federation (FIA). The main structure and other primary buildings span approximately 150,000 square meters, encompassing the main and auxiliary stands, the race control center, press center, team living area, and pit garages. These structures incorporate a design philosophy that seamlessly blends modern aesthetics with traditional Chinese culture. Since 2004, this venue has borne witness to numerous world-class competitions. Open all year round, Tuesday to Sunday from 09:00 to 16:00.
