The Nature Wild Insect Museum is located in Lujiazui, Pudong, on the west side of the Oriental Pearl Tower. Here, you can observe various living insects and insect specimens, including rare insects with peculiar appearances that you may have never seen. You can also see various amphibians and reptiles such as lizards, frogs, turtles, etc. Bringing children here will surely be an eye-opener. The insect museum has two floors. If you bring children and look slowly, it can be finished in about two hours. Note that it is a bit stuffy indoors in summer. First, come to the upper floor. There is a fish feeding area where you can feed koi. You can see Chinese alligators, snakes, and cute miniature marmosets. Then you will see various live insects and arthropods, including spiders, scorpions, stick insects, rhinoceros beetles, and various reptiles. Coming downstairs, you can see reptiles, including various lizards, turtles, frogs, and a very rich variety of butterfly specimens. There are also small animals such as chinchillas, rabbits, goats, owls, and bats. You can feed goats and rabbits and touch them. At 11:00 and 14:30 on weekends, and at 11:00, 13:30, and 15:00 on Golden Weeks and holidays, in the small animal exhibition area, you can see interesting knowledge about small animals, including chinchillas, lizards, etc. Children can also come on stage to participate in interactions.
