The exhibition hall utilizes advanced technological methods to promote the achievements of Shanghai’s tunnel construction and management. It employs interactive and participatory forms to provide science popularization education to the whole society. Inside the museum, a large-scale mud water balance shield tunnel interior is recreated, allowing visitors to experience the tunnel construction site up close. The upper level of the Fuxing East Road Tunnel is enhanced with a large-screen projector and real vehicle tunnel passage simulation, increasing its realism. In the virtual interactive area, visitors can truly experience the feeling of driving through a tunnel with the help of large-scale projections and vehicle models. The museum is open on Tuesdays and Fridays from 13:00 to 16:30 all year round; on Saturdays from 13:00 to 16:30 all year round; and on Saturdays from 09:00 to 11:30 all year round.
