Zhouzai Island is located in the southern waters of Wanning City, Hainan Province, approximately 3 kilometers off the coast. The island covers an area of about 0.6 square kilometers. Among the five islands of Wanning City, its area is second only to Dazhou Island, and it is only 8 nautical miles away from Dazhou Island, hence the name Zhouzai Island.
Zhouzai Island is an uninhabited island, 3 kilometers from the mainland, rarely visited by people, and unpolluted. Its high-quality marine resources and diverse corals make it a popular island awaiting development into a tourist attraction. Zhouzai Island faces the Shenzhou Peninsula tourist area across the sea, and with the convenient transportation依托 of the tourist area, Zhouzai Island is no longer a forgotten island. The island runs east-west and is elongated, with two peaks facing each other, and the middle resembling a saddle. From a distance, it looks like two reclining water buffaloes from Shenzhou Peninsula. The rocks on the island are rich in sulfur, which makes the corals in the sea colorful.
