Sheshan International Golf Club is located in Sheshan National Tourist Resort, Songjiang District, Shanghai. It is a comprehensive resort project with golf as the theme, providing private sports and leisure, vacation living experience and services. It is also the birthplace of the World Championship – ‘HSBC Champions’. This event has been successfully held for seven consecutive years. In 2009, this event was upgraded to a world championship. In 2013, the event was included in the schedule of the PGA Tour. The club’s course is 7025 yards long, with 18 holes and 72 pars. It is designed by the world-renowned course designer Nelson & Haworth. It is a forest hilly course with mountains at the back and water in front. There are natural and cultural landscapes such as thousand-year-old ginkgo trees, plank bridges, and quarry ruins on the course. Other features such as uniquely shaped fairways, well-maintained turf, unexpected bunkers and challenging water hazards attract golf enthusiasts from all over the world.
