Shuiman Manar Eco-Tourism Area

The term ‘Shuiman’ in the Li language signifies ‘extremely ancient and supreme’. Located at the foot of the Wuzhi Mountain, Shuiman Township is the highest-altitude town on the entire Hainan Island, governing Fanglong, Shuiman, Manar, Yapai, and Xincun, five administrative villages, and 27 village groups, with a total population of 4653, predominantly Li and Miao ethnic groups, accounting for 95.8% of the total. Shuiman Township is situated in the heart of the Wuzhi Mountain area, known as ‘nine parts mountain, half water, and half a part field’, with over 85% of its geographical area within the Hainan Tropical Rainforest National Park.

‘Manar’ in the Li language means ‘a community with deep roots and blood ties’. As a demonstration point for rural tourism in Wuzhi City, Manar Village offers a small window for us to appreciate the beauty of Wuzhi Mountain. We hope that visitors can experience the picturesque ecological scenery here, taste the authentic local cuisine, participate in the rich folk activities, and appreciate the unique rural atmosphere, eventually falling in love with Shuiman Township and Wuzhi Mountain. The area is open all year round from 09:00 to 17:30.
