Sinan Mansions derives its name from Sinan Road. The area began its development in the 1920s, and over the subsequent decade, the garden villas south of Lafayette Road, east of Massenet Road (now Sinan Road), and west of鲁班 Road (now Chongqing South Road) were gradually constructed. This attracted a large number of military and political figures, entrepreneurs, professionals, and renowned artists of the time, turning the area into a gathering place for high society. Today, Sinan Mansions encompasses 49 restored historical buildings and 9 new buildings, forming four complementary functional areas – hotel, commercial, residential, and office. Sinan Mansions has become one of the preservation projects for Shanghai’s historical and cultural landscape and architectural heritage, embodying culture, fashion, and historical depth. Open all year round, accessible 24/7.
