Changtan Village is home to the Longwang Mountain Provincial Nature Reserve, where the source of the ‘Mother River of Shanghai’, the Huangpu River, is located within the reserve. The entire reserve boasts a healthy ecosystem, rich biodiversity, moderate humidity, and an average annual temperature of 19.9 degrees Celsius, earning it the nickname ‘Zhejiang’s Green Pearl’.

Longwang Mountain is situated at the southern end of Anji County and the northern side of the West Tianmu Mountain, marking the junction of Anji, Lin’an, and Ning counties. Its main peak stands at an elevation of 1587.4 meters, making it one of the main peaks of the Tianmu Mountain range and the highest peak in the northern Zhejiang and the Yangtze River Delta region of East China. The area features pristine forests, peaks and streams, clear pools and waterfalls, grand sea of clouds, and magnificent sunrises. Among these, the natural historical heritage of thousands of acres of alpine marshland is a rare natural landscape in the subtropical region.
