Suzhou City Wall Museum

The Suzhou City Wall Museum is located in the hollow part of the southern section of the Xiangmen section of the city wall in Suzhou.

The museum’s exhibition area, which spans two levels and covers an area of nearly 1400 square meters, is divided into six exhibition halls: ‘Prelude Hall’, ‘Millennium City Chronicles’, ‘City Gate Stories’, ‘Inside and Outside the City’, ‘Memories on the City Wall’, and ‘Reconstruction of the City Wall’. These halls showcase the historical evolution and archaeological achievements of the Suzhou city wall, accompanied by numerous images, models, and some actual artifacts.

The Suzhou City Wall Museum strongly substantiates Suzhou’s status as a national historical and cultural city. The newly constructed Changmen, Pingmen, and Xiangmen city towers and city walls are majestic and splendid, once again revealing the ancient city’s charm.

Opening hours are from Tuesday to Sunday, 09:00-16:30, all year round; closed all day on Mondays; open on National Day, 09:00-16:30. The specific business status is subject to the daily opening conditions.
