People jokingly say that there are three abundances in Taiwan’s First Temple, Tien Tan: there are many temple fairs, much incense, and many accompanying deities. Therefore, it has become the belief center of people in Tainan. Believers from all sides often come here to burn incense and worship. As a result, just the gold paper here piles up into a small hill on the temple courtyard because it can’t be burned in time. It is also an excellent place to observe Taiwanese folk activities.
