Taiyuan Five Hundred Martyrs Memorial Complex

The Taiyuan Five Hundred Martyrs Memorial Complex was inaugurated on February 19, 1951, and was subsequently managed by local authorities. After the reorganization of Taipei City, it has been under the administration of the Taipei Civil Affairs Bureau since 188. The monument, memorial hall, and soul-calling tomb are built on an axis following the natural contours of the mountain, with a high standard of architectural design that includes a memorial arch, monument, memorial hall, soul-calling tomb, and stele. This memorial complex is a product of the civil war and serves as a testament to the modern history across the strait and the evolution of local historical education. It is open to visitors all year round, with full-day access.
