According to the classic scripture ‘Benhxing Jing’, the Buddha was able to speak and walk as soon as he was born. He took seven steps in the four cardinal directions, and with each step, a lotus flower blossomed on the ground. Pointing to the sky with one hand and to the earth with the other, he proclaimed, ‘Heaven and earth, I alone am supreme.’ At that moment, two pools of water miraculously appeared in the garden, and nine dragons emerged from the sky, spewing water to bathe and purify him. This story is incredibly fascinating and evokes boundless imagination. What’s more remarkable is that the large-scale musical dynamic sculpture group ‘Nine Dragons Bathing, Blossoming Buddha’ at Lingshang Shengjing vividly recreates the splendid scene from the story.

In the Nine Dragons Bathing Square, one can see a giant lotus copper sculpture, poised to bloom, standing in the foreground. The massive lotus is supported by four mighty warriors, with a white circular marble pool at the base, surrounded by nine flying dragons and eight devotees of various forms. The site is open all year round, available 24/7, with specific operational status subject to daily opening conditions.
