Wang Xia Fort is an ancient fortress located in the Wang Xia Hill Municipal Park in Macau. The construction of the fort began in 1849, was resumed in 1864, and completed in 1866. The fort ceased operation in 1960 and was subsequently converted into a barracks for non-Portuguese soldiers stationed in Macau. Today, the site has been transformed into the Wang Xia Hill Municipal Park, which boasts a very beautiful environment with shaded mountain paths and abundant flora. The Roman-style square, fountains, artificial lakes, waterfalls, and long corridors complement the ancient fortress, making it an excellent destination for tourism. The park is open all year round, 24 hours a day, and offers accessibility services including barrier-free entrances.
