Duration: 1 day. Time: December. Per capita cost: 400 yuan. With whom: Parent-child. The author visited these places: Shanghai. Published on December 9, 2020, at 11:37. Shanghai’s winter is chilly and gloomy. We gave up outdoor family outings and found a warm place to take our baby to play for a whole day. The flagship store of Shanghai Baoyan Paradise has been visited more than once. There is a petting zoo, a water park, various slides, a naughty castle, building blocks, etc. In terms of scale and fun, Baoyan is definitely the top-notch indoor amusement park in Shanghai. We arrived at 11 o’clock in the morning. The entire Baoyan Paradise is already filled with a strong Christmas atmosphere. There is a large parking lot at the entrance. You can get a coupon at the front desk for free parking for 4 hours. After 4 hours, it costs 6 yuan per hour. The entire amusement park has 5 floors. One day is not enough to play. 1F Petting Zoo (11:00 – 18:00). The petting zoo is a must-visit item every time. Here, you can feed the small animals up close. The small animals are all super cooperative and scrambling for food. Carrots and fish food are 10 yuan per serving and can be directly purchased inside. The signature alpaca, as well as little rabbits and marmots, are all masters of being cute. There are also little hedgehogs, little squirrels, peacocks, etc. It’s like traveling from a jungle world to an underwater world. 1F Slide Park. Slides that parents and children can play together, as well as the popular 45-degree and 90-degree slides! Only children over 5 years old can play. So, I went up. Then, my screams echoed throughout the building… So exciting! The feeling of weightlessness when going straight down! 1F 5D/7D/9D movies. There are different age restrictions. My baby is 3 years old and can only watch 5D movies. There is a schedule at the entrance of the cinema. Make plans in advance. The movies shown in the morning and afternoon for 5D are different. The baby watched one after another and regarded this place as a cinema. 2F Ocean ball, slides, building blocks, trampoline, amusement area. The baby’s favorite is the building block area on the second floor. The super-large building blocks can be played with for a long time while sitting. We built a home together with him. He said this is our little home. If dad is strong enough, then mom can also enjoy free nail services. There is also a room on the second floor for the baby to take a nap. Super considerate. There is also an electronic amusement area on the second floor. Among them, there are bumper cars that can be played. However, pay attention to the opening time of the bumper cars. 3 – 4F Water Park (11:00 – 18:00). In winter, if you want to take your baby swimming, you will definitely think of the water park at Baoyan’s. Because here, not only is the water warm, but even from the changing room to the water park, the entire space is in a warm environment. There is no need to worry about the baby getting cold at all. There are various water slides, seesaws, and the super popular rainbow slide. The baby played again and again. The pool water is relatively shallow and very suitable for children.
The family-friendly changing rooms deserve high praise for their private bathing and dressing areas. Lockers are available in the changing rooms for a fee of 10 yuan per locker, which can be accessed at any time during the visit. The outdoor adventure area on the 5th floor offers great value for money with each visit, featuring free unlimited access to attractions such as pirate ships, carousels, mini trains, and grass sliding. Additionally, there are outdoor climbing areas, grass sliding, and horse riding (for an additional fee), so be sure to check the schedule in advance. Recommended winter visit route: 1. Start with the outdoor activities on the 5th floor, then store your coats indoors and continue playing. 2. Save the water park for last, as water sports can be physically draining and this way, you avoid the hassle of going back to shower. Children often fall asleep on the way home.
