Xianshan Lake is located in Changxing County, Huzhou. It is an original ecological wetland park, suitable for leisure and play. The scenic area is divided into two parts: Xianshan Mountain and Xianshan Lake. The more exquisite scenery is on the lake. The recommended way is to take a boat tour. To enter the scenic area, one has to walk across a long suspension bridge. Under the bridge, half is meadow and half is swamp wetland. The scenery and the experience of walking on the suspension bridge are both impressive.
Not far from the opposite bank is the cruise terminal. The cruise fee is included in the ticket. There is a tour guide on the boat. The tour lasts about 45 minutes. What makes Xianshan Lake different from other lakes is a water forest. On a fine day, flocks of waterbirds may be seen flying by. The ecology is very good and it is worth visiting for photography enthusiasts. However, it is recommended to go on weekdays. During small long holidays and other holidays, there may be long queues for cruises, and then it is impossible to experience the original ecological scenery of Xianshan Lake.
The Xianshan Mountain near the entrance of the scenic area is not high. If there is enough time, you can climb the mountain. On both sides of the road are bamboo forests, giving a very quiet feeling. There is a temple on the top of the mountain, which is very quiet. It is a scenic spot of Xianshan Lake that is ‘kept in a secluded place and unknown to people’.
