Xibei Academy in Wenchang was established during the Qing Dynasty. The architecture faces north to south, with the southern opening towards the mountain pass, commonly referred to as the ‘head gate’, spanning three bays in width.
On both sides, there are brick-built side rooms with a curved roof design, covered with colored glaze tiles.
