Xieyang Island is located to the southeast of Weizhou Island. Like Weizhou Island, it is also formed by volcanic eruptions and accumulations. As the panoramic view of this island can be seen with the sun slanting from Weizhou Island, and because the island lies across the southeast of Weizhou Island with the south side being sunny, it is called Xieyang Island. Xieyang Island is very small but has a more primitive fishing village landscape and marine erosion landscape. Xieyang Island has not been developed yet. There are no special passenger ships going there. Generally, most tourists charter a boat from Weizhou Island and mainly go for a one-day tour. If you are interested in it, when staying on Weizhou Island, you can ask the inn where you are staying if they can help contact the boatman. Of course, you can also go to the dock opposite the town center market on your own to contact the boatman. Xieyang Island is very small and there is no beach on the island. All around it are towering marine erosion cliffs. In the middle of the island is Xieyang Village. When the population was at its largest, there were nearly 300 people. Now there are only a few dozen households. All are faces of middle-aged and elderly fishermen and not a single child can be seen. The original primary school on the island is now just for show as children have left the island to study elsewhere. You can see these warm and hospitable old people on the island. In front of and behind the houses in the village are various tropical fruits and a great deal of lush vegetation. The air is very good. On the surrounding volcanic rocks, there are clusters of cacti. The poultry and livestock in the village are all free-range. From time to time, the figures of black goats and yellow cattle flash in the bushes, giving people a feeling of natural harmony. In addition to the simple island scenery, another highlight of the island is its geological features. The marine erosion cave at the southern dock of the island is very spectacular. The blue sea and the huge marine erosion cave form a wonderful landscape. In the seawater accumulated in several volcanic vents, vivid corals are right in front of you, and there are crabs and starfish appearing among them. You can see the coral scenery without diving.
The opening hours are all year round and open all day.
