Xifeng Island

Xifeng Island, resembling a peak on the west side of Zhujiajian Island, is thus named ‘Xifeng’. On the east side of Xifeng Island, there is a harbor that provides shelter for ships from the westerly winds, hence it is also known as ‘Xifeng Island’.

At the southern tip of the island, which is constantly eroded by the tides, many rocks have been sculpted into unique formations by the sea. Chuanbi Cave and Xiangdong are notable attractions. Chuanbi Cave, as the name suggests, has a hole that resembles a nose. The entrance of the cave is about 5 meters wide and 7 meters high, allowing small boats to enter and exit freely. Similar to a nose, it narrows as you go deeper. Do not panic, hold your flashlight, and continue steadfastly, as the cave walls, rich in nutrients and dampness, are home to a variety of delicious shellfish, a reward for your adventurous spirit! As for Xiangdong, the cave lives up to its name, with a massive rock resembling an elephant’s trunk hanging over, as if it is about to cross the sea to the east but stops, perhaps because the elephant knows: going further would reach the national border.

The island is dotted with strange reefs and rocks, covered with sea snails. Collecting these snails along the way is a joy. One can only wish not to be Doraemon, unable to carry all the shellfish and snails in the magical pocket of the chest. The island is open all year round, accessible 24/7, with specific business hours subject to the daily opening conditions.
