It is said that after the Song Dynasty’s prefect, Mao Kui, retired and entered the Nanshan mountain, he vanished at this wooden bridge. To commemorate Mao Kui, the locals named the bridge ‘Yanshou Bridge’. Legend has it that walking on it can extend one’s life.
