Yaoxi Scenic Area, renowned for its “colorful stream stones”, features five major attractions: Yaoxi Long, Zhongxiu Garden, Longgang Mountain, and Qianfo Pagoda. The area is particularly famous for its ten scenic spots, including the traces of water and stone, the reflection of iron walls in the pool, the depth of the plum forest, the mountain and lake scenery, the leisurely clouds of herons, the misty rain, the fairy-like Longgang Mountain, the Qianfo Pagoda through the ages, and the spiritual and elegant Zhongling.
Yaoxi is a gathering place for famous historical and cultural sites in Wenzhou. The Longgang Mountain site dates back four to five thousand years. Here, the National Temple was established during the Tang Dynasty, the Qianfo Pagoda was built during the Song Dynasty, and the Xuanzhen Temple was constructed in the Ming Dynasty. Since the Ming and Qing Dynasties, many celebrities have gathered here, with numerous cliff inscriptions, cultural relics, and historical sites embellishing the clear waters and jade stones, seamlessly blending natural scenery with cultural essence.
