The ‘Zhang Baozi’ sailing ship features two levels: the upper deck is a sophisticated seating area with wide sofas on both sides, allowing for a comfortable recline while enjoying the sea breeze and beverages. The lower deck is an air-conditioned dining area with traditional Chinese-style round tables and chairs, exuding a rustic charm. The ship’s signature is a Chinese red mast, and every nail and piece of wood on the ship is handmade using ancient Chinese shipbuilding techniques, with many details crafted to resemble the original design. Zhang Baozi, also known as Zhang Bao, was a native of Xinhui, Jiangmen, and started as a fisherman before becoming a notorious pirate in Hong Kong. The TVB drama ‘Zhang Baozi’ tells his story. Initially dominating the Pearl River Delta, Zhang Baozi once sank 18 Portuguese naval ships in a single battle. His measured and principled approach to leadership earned him widespread support, allowing his fleet to rapidly grow, reaching a peak with over 800 large ships, over 1000 small vessels, and a following of 100,000 people.
