The ancient Zhaxi Temple is said to have been jointly built by the people in the township due to their Buddhist affinity in the second year of Xuanhe in the Northern Song Dynasty. A commemorative stele for the completion of Zhaxi Temple was erected.
As of 1997, Meishan Village was responsible for raising funds to relocate it to the foot of Wutai Yuanbao Mountain in Daling. There are four simple houses and more than ten Buddha statues remaining in the temple.
