Annually, fireworks teams from around the globe compete at the Macao International Fireworks Display Contest. The city’s skyline is illuminated with layers of lights, and the crowd buzzes like electricity. Choreographed to music and laser projections, the performances add an extra layer of magic to the event. This year marks the 32nd edition, with teams from Thailand, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Japan, South Korea, Italy, Canada, Romania, and China vying for the championship title. The event is open on September 14th-15th (Saturday-Sunday), September 21st (Saturday), October 1st (Tuesday), and October 6th (Sunday), with specific operational conditions subject to the day’s opening status.
