The Taichung Prison Martial Arts Arena, located in the West District of Taichung City, is a martial arts training facility for prison officials, and it is the only remaining martial arts arena in the city with its historical appearance perfectly preserved, making it highly valuable for preservation, reuse, and architectural research
The complex includes the main martial arts arena building and the eastern auxiliary building

The main building is constructed in a symmetrical style, with a shrine located at the central rear, a judo area to the left of the shrine, and a kendo area to the right
The arena has seating on one side, making it a smaller martial arts facility compared to similar buildings such as the Wu De Hall of the same period
The architectural form is typical of a martial arts arena, with an elevated base, facade imitating wooden structures and pilaster decorations, and a roof constructed in the style of a mother-in-law roof, adorned with large oni-wa tiles and hibashi boards
Opening hours are from 9:30 to 17:30 all year round
