Tianfei Palace

Tianfei Palace is located on Miaoqian Street in the east market of Liuhe Town. It is an important historical relic of Chinese navigator Zheng He’s voyages to the Western Seas in the Ming Dynasty. It was initially built in 1286 AD. During the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty, before Zheng He set sail from Liujia Port on his voyages to the Western Seas, he would first burn incense here to pray for the protection of the sea goddess for a safe voyage. After the seven voyages to the Western Seas, he personally erected the ‘Stele of Deeds in Foreign Lands’ here.
