The original site of Yaoshi Nunnery was at Changpingcang, Chenjiabang, 2 li south of the town. The construction date is unknown. The main Buddha in the nunnery is Yaoshi Buddha. Originally, the Buddhist scripture ‘Lotus Sutra’ was stored in the nunnery and it was the scroll that guarded the nunnery. This nunnery was abandoned in the early years of Emperor Qianlong.
