Bengbu Ancient Town is located in Rudong County, Nantong, and thrived due to salt production. The town boasts well-connected roads, a crisscrossing network of rivers, and abundant coastal resources. The Bengbu Canal runs east to west, with the Bei Ling River, Jianghai River, and Xuyang River all navigable, making it a prosperous ancient salt town. Today, the town retains a large number of ancient buildings, emerald green stone paths, mottled alleys, and historical sites that have withstood the test of time, exuding an ancient charm.
