Next to the ‘boat shed’ at the ferry crossing of Andu Square in Xizha Scenic Area of Wuzhen, there is a boat culture corridor with a height of 1.7 meters and a total length of more than 30 meters. In the form of bamboo board intaglio, the corridor comprehensively displays the forms of boats and ships that have existed for thousands of years along the Grand Canal in the Jiangnan area. The display includes more than 20 common ship types in the Jiangnan area, such as grain transport ships, official ships, Taihu Lake ships, merchant ships, fishing boats (netting boats), farm boats, passenger ships (express ships), yellow duck boats (rowing boats), ferry boats, wedding boats, boxing boats, decorated boats, stepping white boats, and crazy boats. For each ship type, conceptual descriptions and basic outline displays of their forms, structures, functions, and characteristics are provided. Open all year round and open all day.
