The Cai Family Ancestral Hall was originally constructed in the 16th year of the Wanli era of the Ming Dynasty. The main structure that stands today was rebuilt in the 9th year of the Tongzhi era of the Qing Dynasty.
A female ancestral hall was newly established to the south of the main hall, creating a unique architectural form where both male and female ancestral halls coexist.
