In the beautiful paradise-like Pudong area, there is an adoption and ecological release management center for Shanghai’s urban stray cats. It is not only a public welfare base in Shanghai but also a demonstration base for publicity and education on refined management of urban stray animals. The management center covers an area of 800 mu and is divided into Lake Center Island (Cat Island), the science popularization area of urban stray cat community governance, the nursing area for stray cats (kittens), the interaction area for stray cats, the release area for stray cats, and the leisure farming area. When coming to the urban stray cat management center, citizens can get closer to nature. Together with more than 500 stray cats and our volunteers, they can understand the living status of stray cats, popularize scientific and rational ways to treat stray cats, cultivate their own sense of responsibility, increase the possibility of stray cats entering new families, and explore new and more effective directions for social governance. At the same time, citizens who like stray cats can also participate in public welfare services, such as participating in volunteer service projects like building cat nests, nursing kittens, weeding and cleaning cat litter. Citizens who like rural charm can also experience leisure projects such as the earthen stove culture, farming culture, interesting planting, and wild camping in beautiful rural areas. Opening hours: Open from 09:00 to 17:00 on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year; Closed all day from Monday to Friday throughout the year.
