The Chaohu Han Tombs are located at No. 3, Changjiang East Road. The three large vertical pit earthen shaft wooden coffin tombs of the Western Han Dynasty in Chaohu are one of the more important archaeological discoveries in Anhui Province in recent years. The large coffin structure in the tombs is well preserved. A total of more than 3,400 pieces (sets) of various cultural relics such as copper, silver, lacquer, jade, stone, iron, wood, crystal, horn, and pottery have been unearthed from the three tombs. Some of the unearthed cultural relics are very exquisite, and most cultural relics are of high quality. There are exquisite decorative patterns on a large number of lacquerware unearthed in the tombs, and the types of utensils are also relatively rich, providing a batch of important materials for the study of material culture in the Han Dynasty.
