The Cicheng Ancient Architectural Complex is located in Cicheng Town, a famous historical and cultural town in China in Jiangbei District, Ningbo City. Cicheng is one of the very few counties in the south of the Yangtze River that are relatively well preserved. It has preserved a complete traditional lifestyle structure. Among the traditional buildings preserved, there are not only a large number of residential buildings, but also public buildings and structures such as Confucian temples, guild halls, memorial archways, and ancient wells. In June 2006, it was announced as a national key cultural relic protection unit of the sixth batch by the State Council. In 2009, the ancient architectural complex in Cicheng, Jiangbei District won the United Nations ‘Cultural Heritage Protection Honor Award’.
