Cixi City Museum is situated at the northern foot of the picturesque Zhishan Park, adjacent to the newly constructed Zhishan Cultural Plaza. It covers an area of 7,822 square meters with a main building area of 2,000 square meters and a total investment of 4 million yuan. The construction began on June 28, 1996, and was completed on January 28, 1997, officially opening to the public on November 8, 1998.
The museum’s full opening hours are from November 1st to April 30th, Tuesday to Sunday, from 08:30 to 16:30; from May 1st to October 31st, Tuesday to Sunday, from 08:30 to 17:00. The museum is closed all day on Mondays throughout the year. The specific business status is subject to the daily opening conditions.
