Dalei Mountain is located in the southwest of Penglai Mountain. It is between Qiangtou Town and Maoyang Town in Xiangshan Port. It stands on the bank of Xihu Port. The main peak of Dalei Mountain is 590 meters above sea level and is the second highest peak in Xiangshan County. According to the ‘Annals of Xiangshan County’: Dalei Mountain ‘Its mountains are strangely jagged. Like a screen pavilion, like a cap, like a roc spreading its wings, like a dragon grasping. The strange rocks and dangerous cliffs are indescribable. Its spirit directly overlooks the county town. There is the Xishi Bi Tan on the mountain. There is the Lishui Rock behind the mountain. There is the Linggui Rock in front of the mountain. There are seven wells on the top of the mountain like a string of pearls. There is Dalei Temple and Dalei Shrine on the mountain. There is also the Qinshihuang Temple.’ The strange peaks protrude, majestic in momentum. Clouds, rain, and mist surround the peak.
